Managing disk quotas and resources

Datagate tracks the disk space utilized by all mailboxes and public folders on your Exchange account.

Each mailbox is allocated automatically allocated 100mb storage space. The total space available in any account is the sum of its individual mailbox allowances. Thus a company of 5 users has 500mb storage space available. Provided that the total storage space used is equal to or less than 500mb, the storage space allowance may be used as required by any users.

Example: You have 5 mailboxes on your account giving you an allocation of 500mb. You can assign that 500mb however you wish. One mailbox could be allocated 420mb and the rest 20mb each. It is entirely at your discretion how the space is allocated.

If you require additional disk space, it is available at a price of £5.00 per month per 25mb. Additional storage space is automatically available for public folders. If you do not set restrictions on a users mailbox size, then additional space is automatically available to them. Please note that charges for additional storage space are based on the peak company use during the previous month.
