Firewall Protection

Any server which is connected to the Internet in any way is at risk from a security breach. Including Firewall protection is therefore a must for any Internet-dependant business.

When behind the Firewall your server will be protected against attacks and other known intrusions methods. We provide Firewall protection at router-level to ensure attempted intrusions are detected before your applications and data are compromised.

Access to your websites and applications is only enabled with strictly defined policies and ports on your server platform. All other ports are strictly disabled and constantly monitored.

Data Backup

Managed Backup services ensure that your data and systems are kept safe and secure and that backup data can be recovered quickly if your system fails.

Our cost-effective NAS backup solution gives you access to our centralised shared backup drives. As part of the service, we will install and configure the necessary backup software on your Dedicated or Cloud server to carry out a scheduled backups to your requirements.

Advanced Managed Backup Solution (Server Imaging)

In addition to NAS solution we offer an Advanced backup solution or Server Imaging which allows us to perform full system restorations and complete server recoveries, or to restore individual files or folders in minimal time. Server imaging backup captures frequent point-in-time snapshots of the operating state, or live state, of an entire server without interrupting user productivity or application usage. These point-in-time snapshots include all files and volumes (regardless if in use, hidden, or encrypted), applications, and settings into one server backup image file. In the event of system hardware or software failure, or user error, DataGate Advanced Backup enables administrators to recover a system faster than traditional methods.

Server Monitoring

Every DataGate dedicated server package includes 24/7 monitoring of one port on the client's server. We also offer additional monitoring services to quickly detect any downtime your server may experience.

Basic package (free)

This is a passive monitoring service that tests your ICMP port at 5-minute intervals. If this port does not respond, our monitoring service will notify you immediately via e-mail and if the server is completely unreachable, we will start the troubleshooting of the system.

Silver package

As with the Basic Package, if ping fails, our monitoring service will notify you and if need be, we will restart the server. In addition, our Silver Package allows you to choose up to 3 ports for monitoring. If any of these ports should fail, our monitoring service will notify you immediately via e-mail and if the server is completely unreachable, we will start the troubleshooting of the system.

Gold package

As with the Silver Package, if ping fails, our monitoring service will notify you and if need be, we will restart the server. In addition, our Gold Package allows you to choose up to 6 ports for monitoring. Included in the package is content monitoring as well as synthetic user experience or transaction monitoring. We also run Advanced system performance monitoring proactively which can identify server performance issues

Server Administration

Our Server Administration/Management service gives you the reassurance that your online presence is managed by experts who are taking care that your hosting platform receives highest possible care resulting in better visibility of your website.
