How can I add the autodiscover record in my DNS?

NOTE: The A record is necessary for the autoconnect configuration of Outlook 2007. It is also necessary for many of Outlook 2007 features such as: offline address book, managing delegate permissions, automatic out-of-office reply.

If the company that holds your DNS recrods have DNS control panel then log into it and create an A record called autodiscover.yourdomain.com that points to the IP 62.204.34.15.

If you are uncomfortable with this option, or do not have DNS control panel, you can contact their support via email.

The exact words of an email are up to you, but the important part is to include
the following:

"Please create an A record in the DNS zone for 'yourdomain.com' domain.
It should point to 62.204.34.15, and it should look something like this:
autodiscover.yourdomain.com (A) 62.204.34.15"

If DataGate holds your DNS records than email sprecified as above will sufice.

Note: Due to distributed nature of DNS, the record you created in this article may take up to 48 hours to propagate.
