In a more complex server hosting solution, the customer was running his database driven web site on two separate load balanced web servers and one separate database/application server. The web traffic was still growing causing the application to slow dramatically taking up all the resources on database/application server, causing visitors to the web site to complain.

Datagate's technical experts suggested to the client that the application should be moved to a load balanced and redundant pair of application servers, greatly improving the performance of the application. This in turn lead to a significant improvement in database response times due to the additional server resources made available to it, now the application was being hosted on a separate server.
